World Rivers and Fish Migration Day 2020

Christchurch World Rivers Day has combined forces with World Fish Migration Day to become bigger and better.

Join us at our central hub for displays, workshops, activities, music, a small planting along the river banks, the photo competition prize-giving, a free BBQ and lots more!

World Rivers Day is an annual international event, and one of the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River Network (OHRN) planned annual events to celebrate the river, the groups along the river and to bring people together.

World Fish Migration Day (also an annual international event) was to be held in May, but was postponed due to Covid-19 and swells our participant numbers to include DOC, Niwa, University of Canterbury, Fulton Hogan, and others.
