Whānau Passport Guided Rides for Biketober

Get a head-start collecting stamps for our brilliant Biketober Whānau Passport. Led by Paul Odlin, cycling instructor.

These one-hour guided rides start at the Pump Track on Manchester St and will stop at Biketober Whanau Passport destinations in the central city before ending with ice cream for kids at Rollickin' Gelato.

Cycling instructor Paul Odlin will show you and your children how to navigate the central city bike lanes, read the road ahead for hazards, and how to cross safely at intersections.

Extended by popular demand, Biketober’s Whanau Passport is a brilliant school holiday activity. Child feedback is a big thumbs up for the animated passport stamps! As well as that – and the rewards of being outside as a family – there are great prizes to be won. Destinations can be reached using separated cycleways or shared paths.

Important info

Guided rides are free, but you must register as numbers are strictly limited.

Adults must ride with your children; unaccompanied children will not be accepted on this ride.

Bring your phone to key in the passport code at each stop. The passport uses a webapp so you'll need data. Kids love collecting the stamps.

In the case of poor weather, this event will be postponed or cancelled, which is another reason why you must register.
