Welcome to Tūhono Kapa Haka Festival 2024. Begun in 2013 Tūhono is a by Māori for all annual Kapa Haka event held in the Town Hall.
The Festivals are kapa haka concerts for school groups of all ages. Last year 62 schools attended including 14 secondary schools.
These have proven to be wonderful events and are a fantastic celebration of Māori performing arts in Otāutahi.
Saturday 23 November Concerts
- 10am Any age Ngāhau (non-competitive)
- 1pm Year 5 - 10 Composite Competition
- 4pm Year 7 - 8 Intermediate Competition
