Christchurch City Council, Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and Kōrero ki Ōtautahi have joined forces to celebrate te reo and te taiao.
Join us as we plant rākau to help restore part of an important floodplain ecosystem in the Ōtākaro – Avon River Corridor. We will be adding to the Rotary Forest of Peace and Remembrance at Dallington Landing. Nuture the whenua and your reo at the same time - all levels and abilities welcome.
We provide tools, please wear sturdy hū/footwear and bring your own takawai/water bottle.
We will finish with some manaakitanga and learn a waiata together - Ko te Pū.
Meet at approximately 35 Gayhurst Road; park about 200m down the road from Dallington Landing. We'll meet here and walk to the area we'll be working in.
Kia tupu, Kia hua, Kia puāwai.
To grow, to prosper, to sustain.
