Explore our causeway cut-off estuarine bay and surrounding native plantings with knowledgeable locals.
3 hours of discovery and wonder.
Explore our causeway cut-off estuarine bay and surrounding native plantings with knowledgeable locals. Help us find as many species as we can in our special little bay.
We'll meet at the southern end of McCormacks Bay Reserve, opposite Basil Place. Register your interest with the book button.
This event is part of the wider City Nature Challenge event. During this event, we'll be recording plants, insects, birds and any other living things we find by registering our discoveries with iNaturalist(external link).
So come prepared with a device pre-loaded with the iNaturalist app(external link), or bring a digital camera and upload your photos to the iNaturalist website after the event.
Knowing what species are in our city and where they are helps us study and protect them. The only way to do that is if all of us work together to find and document nature in our area. By participating in the City Nature Challenge, you not only learn more about our local nature, but you can also make our area a better place – for us as well as other living things!
Keep track of how we are doing on the City Nature Challenge website.(external link)
