Te Ara Kākāriki native plantout Tai Tapu

We are planting native species to create a corridor of greendots to link the mountains to the sea and create stepping stones for our native bird and fauna species.

Join us for a day of planting at this greendot where we have been adding more plants each year since 2018. There are now around 5000 plants at the site making a great stepping stone for birds to come down the valley from the port hills.

Te Ara Kākāriki provides spades, gloves, mallets, instructions and morning tea.

Please bring your own lunch and sturdy shoes as we are planting on a bit of a slope.

Portaloo and handwashing facilities will be on site.

Register for this planting day(external link) or check out our website for all our planting events this year(external link).
