Repair Cafe and community market

Bring along your questions or broken items for free fix-it advice - plus tips on home maintenance and your chance to try woodwork. Part of a community market with white elephant items and barista-style coffee available.

Broken items?

Want help to alter or hem clothing? Need home maintenance advice? Looking for woodwork skills or tips or to try your hand at building a rat trap?

Then come along to our first ever Repair Cafe and speak to one of our volunteers.

On hand will be:

  • Bishopdale Men’s Shed
  • a home maintenance DIY-er
  • clothing machinist
  • and generalists who love glueing, using tools and fixing things!

BYO small items for repair advice and practical help. No guarantees we can fix it, but we will try.

Please note that electrical items can only be repaired by a registered electrician.
