Rainbow Ride 2026
Join fellow Cantabrians to form a single rainbow snake biking through Ōtautahi in celebration of diversity, fitness, sustainability and our bike-friendly city.
Rainbow Ride's mission is to foster a more inclusive, sustainable, and bike-friendly Christchurch by celebrating diversity, promoting active transport, and creating joyful, visible spaces for the Rainbow community and its allies.
The 7km ride winds through Hagley Park and the CBD, finishing up at the Ōtautahi Pride Market. Both riders and safety marshals are needed, with each rider choosing which colour of the Progress Pride Flag they will dress in to create the complete biking flag.
Profits from the ride will go to two local biking and rainbow organisations - RAD Bikes and the Ōtautahi Rainbow Hub in creation. Visit our website to learn more, then pick your colour and join the rainbow!
