Join Kahu Collective for a fun and creative harakeke weaving workshop.
Designed for tamariki aged eight and up, this hands-on workshop teaches you to weave your very own putiputi (flax flower) using harakeke, a beautiful and sustainable natural resource.
Along the way, you’ll also learn about the tikanga (customs) and history of harakeke, connecting to the traditions of our tūpuna.
This is a great opportunity for tamariki to explore Māori weaving, develop new skills and connect with te taiao (the natural world) in a fun and supportive environment.
This event is part of our April 2025 School Holiday Fun programme.
