Pooch Pool Party - Waltham Pool
It’s paw-ty time for the canine community. To celebrate the end of the summer pool season, we’re unleashing the fun at Waltham Summer Pool.
Attend the following paw-ty session times based on your pooch’s height:
- 9am to 10.30am – Small dogs approximately 46cm and below.
- 11am to 12.30pm – Medium dogs approximately 46cm to 64cm.
- 1pm to 2.30pm – Large dogs over 64cm.
- 3pm to 4.30pm - Open session, no size limit.
Only one dog per owner, please.
Let’s raise the woof. All proceeds will be donated to SPCA New Zealand to support their work creating a better life for New Zealand’s animals.
A big thank you to Purr. Meow. Woof. for sponsoring this event. They will be offering on-site laser engraving of personalised dog tags.
Free micro-chipping will be offered on site by the Christchurch City Council Animal Management Team to any Christchurch registered dogs that aren’t currently microchipped.
Bone Appétit. Dog owners can enjoy a hot brew from the Coffee Skills mobile coffee van.
Paw lickin' good. Cocomutt Ice Cream will be on-site with fac’n bac’n, peanut butter and blueberry dog ice cream for your precious pooch. Treat yourself too with strawberry sorbet, salted caramel and vanilla human ice cream from Lil Ice Trike.
Rain or shine, the event will go ahead.
Dog owners will need to ensure that they have full control of their dog at all times and are expected to manage bad behaviour. We ask that all dogs attending the event are fully vaccinated. In the instance that your dog becomes sick or injured during or after the event, the Council takes no responsibility.
