One of NZ’s most-loved acts, The Black Seeds, will bring the good vibes to Christchurch's Hagley Park to welcome 2021 in epic style this New Year's Eve.
Described by Clash Music as 'one of the best live reggae acts on the planet’, the 8-piece live show band have earned a reputation for rocking dancefloors around the world.
The Edge NYE20 will start with interactive fun for the whole family and a kids’ countdown around 8pm before a line-up of home-grown talent takes the stage to have you celebrating all night long.
Crowd favourites Dillastrate will return to the NYE stage with an all-new show featuring some incredibly talented local musicians. Emerging artists Dolphin Friendly, will bring their rock-reggae style to Hagley Park.
DJ Spinal will get the party started with some crowd favourites, while DJ Glitch in the System will lay down the beats later in the evening.
SOLE Music Academy Artists will open the stage, showcasing up-and-coming SOLE performers Jaz Paterson, KƎI and MIRO, plus more. 11 piece band Capitol City will infuse the celebrations with their stellar Tribute to The Commitments show.
It wouldn’t be New Year’s without a huge midnight fireworks display, bought to you by the Fireworks Professionals, it's gonna be lit.
The Botanic Gardens Armagh Street car park will be closed to incoming traffic from 2pm. Drop off point is on Rolleston Avenue, near Christ’s College. Use our interactive map to easily find central city parking.
Bike stands will be located inside Hagley Park. Scooter parking zones are on Park Terrace.
Metro buses will operate on the Saturday timetable this New Year’s Eve. Read info on bus routes(external link).
Mobility parking will be on Chester Street West (off Park Terrace). A mobility pass must be visible to gain access.
