At midwinter Matariki we gather together to share stories of warmth. Maungarongo Te Kawa has collected story quilts from past Matariki and gathered them together into an exhibition about social fabric. Stars, whānau, land, heroes, sheroes, legends and other fabulous nobodies adorn the walls. Read the stories or invent your own. Come up to Pūmanawa to celebrate Matariki.

This event is part of Matariki 2024, where we're celebrating Matariki with talented artists from Ōtautahi and beyond. Bring your friends and whānau to Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre (17 - 30 Pipiri June) for music, exhibitions, kapa haka, wānanga (workshops), kai, light installations, special mākete and much more.
