Find the Monarch Community Garden, enjoy fun activities with your family and learn about edible gardens. Free sausage sizzle and free mulch available to take home!
Did you know that there is a community garden on Kendal Ave? This is a chance for you to find the garden, enjoy fun activities with your family and learn about edible Gardens.
Here's what we have in store for you!
- Sausage Sizzle - Free, so be in quick!
- Guest Speaker - Dave Adams from the Christchurch Horticultural Society, talking about edible gardens
- Activities for all - Colouring provided from Fresh on Kendal and making egg tray seedlings.
- Mobile Library - with badge making thanks to the Christchurch City Council.
AND we are getting a huge delivery of Mulch (supplied by Sherwood Trees and Gardens) so bring some gloves, a shovel and a bag, wheel barrow or trailer so that you can help yourself.
It is going to be a great afternoon, so come and join the fun!
