Perhaps one of the most apocalyptic yet awe inspiring chamber works to emerge from the 20th Century, Quartet for the End of Time is Olivier Messiaen’s defiant message to the powers that be of WWII. Comprising leading Australasian soloists and tutors at Adelaide University, we are excited to welcome Lumen Ensemble who make their Aotearoa debut, also presenting Ravel’s equally evocative Piano Trio with an atmospheric world premiere from Australian composer Jack Frerer.
