Jun Bouterey-Ishido (piano)
We welcome back to the Great Hall stage one of New Zealand's most highly acclaimed pianists, Jun, who will be giving only one Christchurch performance.
Jun now resides in Portugal performing both as a soloist and in a piano trio regularly throughout Europe, Asia and even as far away as Santiago. He will be touring the country with Chamber Music New Zealand, and this Great Hall Lunchtime Concert will be his only performance in his home town of Christchurch.
Jun will be playing Davidsbündlertänze Op 6, labelled as one of the greatest piano works of the Romantic era alongside a selection of Études by Ligeti. A concert not to be missed.
