Golden Homes Le Race is an annual 100km cycling event that attracts both top and recreational cyclists from around New Zealand.
Starting on the streets of central Christchurch, you follow a 100km course over the hills to the French settlement town of Akaroa.
The course features steep climbs and winding corners and should appeal not only to road cyclists but also to mountain bikers and recreational cyclists of all abilities.
There is also the option of completing the event as part of a tandem, or two-man 'Relais' (relay) team.
The event showcases the French culture of the Akaroa region and takes riders on a scenic tour of Banks Peninsula. At the finish line, we'll have music, site holders, sponsors and trade teams.
Le Race has something for everyone - from elite to recreational cyclists, young and old.
