Get on Ya Bike New Brighton
Here's some Biketober fun as part of the city-wide festival of biking throughout October. Join us for a day of bike-themed and recreational activities in the New Brighton pedestrian mall and along the foreshore.
We will have a range of fun, free activities and the whole pedestrian area will come alive with awesome, free activities for all ages including Pedalmania, bike safety checkups, mini bike races, a bike smoothie machine, a decorate your bike competition and circus performances by Sport Suzie and Mr Moon.
There will also be food stalls and live music by ‘Sunday School’ and New Brighton’s Natural Magic Pirates Band.
Join our bike ride from the 'city to the sea' experiencing the scenic vistas of the Avon-Otakaro river (check out our Get on Ya Bike page for a link to this event). Or come on a fun 'boomers and burgers' bike ride through our beautiful seaside village and end the trip with a fantastic feed from the Burger Joint with a 10% discount on burgers.
The Switch team are also supporting the cyclists of Biketober by offering a free house made energy ball. Just mention Biketober when you order at the counter (while stocks last, so get in quick).
