My passion for photography ignited after a loss, and being out in nature and at one with the birds, the ocean and wildlife allowed me to find comfort.
I have received recognition from various photography competitions, including the NZ Institute of Professional Photography and Amateur Photography awards and have had images published in bird and conservation magazines.
Conservation is important to me as is the profound impact we as humans have on bird species. It is a goal for me in my bird photography to inspire action and drive positive change for our birds and their environments.
As my photography journey has progressed, I have enjoyed being able to give back in sharing my knowledge of New Zealand’s birdlife through Feather in Your Capture, in which I offer one-on-one tuition and, more recently, group workshops in bird photography.
Nature is limitless in its artistry and reminds me every day that there is still so much beauty in this ever-changing world, and I hope through my lens, you enjoy getting lost in the natural beauty, elegance and serenity of our awesome country and all it offers.
