Expressive portrait painting course
Join our fun evening course and learn to paint a portrait in expressive acrylics at Blooms and Brushes art studio in Rangiora.
Join us for this short course consisting of three 2.5-hour classes over the course of three weeks. Learn the fundamentals of painting with acrylics on canvas. We will focus on mixing flesh tones, using warm and cool colours, applying various brush strokes, creating tonal values and painting wet on wet.
In the first class we will be drawing with pastels to focus on the basic components, ears, eyes, nose to help us understand the structure of the face. Then we will focus in the other two classes on painting a portrait.
Class includes all materials to complete your own painting.
