See the engineering that has shaped Christchurch City. Suitable for the general public this two-hour, three kilometre, guided tour will include various heritage sites of engineering interest. Guides will present some history of the sites and buildings, and highlight significant engineering involved in their original construction and post-earthquake restoration.
Experts involved in restoration will be present at each site. Some new builds of engineering significance will also be covered. Heritage sites include Canterbury Museum, The Arts Centre, Canterbury Provincial Council Buildings, tramway, Christ Church Cathedral, Bridge of Remembrance, the Town Hall and Heritage Hotel.
