Drum and Dance. Joyful dancing to live drumming.

Join us as a family of all ages to have fun together. Liven up your Sunday morning with this fun event and learn a few new moves to add to your dancing toolkit.

Dance is fun, powerful, liberating, uplifting, and transformative. Tamara is passionate about creating a friendly environment open to everyone, where people can feel free to express themselves through live drumming and dance.

With performances and collaborations including multicultural festivals, The Little River Drum and Dance Festival, Festa, Christchurch Arts Festival, and Dance Aotearoa, Tamara loves to collaborate and facilitates touring dance workshops and other events.

So come on adults and kids alike, liven up your Sunday morning with this fun event and learn a few new moves to add to your dancing toolkit.

Venue: Great Hall.

There will be a performance: Dekaworwor West African Drum Ensember and Mundi Dancers, outside in the North Quad from 12.30pm to 1.30pm after this event.


This event is part of The Arts Centre's School Holiday Fun (23 September to 8 October), a lively programme bursting with loads of creative events and activities to spark imagination and entertain pre-schoolers through to teens.
