Discover Ōtukaikino

This guided walk will let you discover the regenerating wetland life of the spring-fed waters of the Ōtukaikino stream.

Come and see how much water-life you can spot at Ōtukaikino.

Ōtukaikino is a freshwater wetland reserve within Christchurch that is being restored as a living memorial. The flat track is suitable for strollers.

Be on the lookout for common bullies, native snails, short and long-finned eels (tuna), juvenile native fish and various aquatic insects.

There are plenty of great spots to look for water-life along this loop track.
