Curator's House - story of our demonstration edible garden

Join a guided walk of a garden which was established as an open book for learning.

We are offering guided walks of the demonstration fruit and vegetable garden at the historic Curator's House.

Hear from the people who have been involved in establishing, designing and maintaining the garden for over 21 years:

  • Dennis Preston designed the garden in 2000 with a vision of linking it to the heritage of the house.
  • Louise Young has tended the garden for the past 21 years and will share her experience of successful growing and the development of the garden over time, including heritage produce.

Find inspiration for the development of your own home vegetable garden no matter the space available or your ability.

Guided walks will be available every 15 minutes from 10am.
