Nestled on the banks of the Avon River, this heritage-listed venue has inspired guests and performers alike, for generations. Join us and immerse yourself in some of Christchurch’s history for the day at Christchurch Town Hall.

Check out the schedule below for a fun-filled day:

  • Circus performers with clowns, magicians, a stilt walker, juggler, unicyclist and more will be around from 10am to 2.15pm.
  • Kids Movie Music and Moving Lightshow – happening all day in the Victoria Room.
  • Self guided tours of the Town Hall
  • Music with Michal, 2022 New Zealand Children’s Entertainer of the Year, will be providing the tunes. Check her out in the Avon Room 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm. She'll also be having a book launch. 
  • Jeff Clark’s Story Vending Machine - Custom-made stories, flights of fancy and fiction created on the spot, 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
  • Christchurch Big Band Festival – Nelson Jazz Club Big Band at 11am, Rangi Ruru Jazz Band at 12pm and Christchurch Boys High School Band at 1pm.
  • Ambush Bass will be roaming from 12pm to 1pm.
  • Martin Setchell Organ Recital – finale in the auditorium from 2.15pm to 3pm.

The Big Band Festival will also be on at Victoria Square. CSM Big Band at 11am, Mainland Big Band at 12pm and Nelson Jazz Club Big Band at 1pm.
