Canterbury Classic Triathlon & Duathlon
Held on a brand new course at Wainui, Banks Peninsula, come over the hill to take on this challenging event. All events can be done as teams or individuals.
The Canterbury Classic is an old school triathlon and duathlon focused on providing a good honest course with options for all ages and abilities.
The Olympic distance race is a run over a testing course with plenty of hills on the bike and run.
From 2022 we plan to alternate years between Wainui and Corsair Bay. In 2022 we will debut the Wainui course.
The event will include:
- Olympic distance Triathlon / Duathlon:
- Swim 1500m or run 3km to 4km
- Bike 38km to 39km with plenty of hills
- Run 9km to 10km
- Aquabike options (Swim / Bike / no run).
- Short distance Triathlon:
- Swim 300m to 500m or run 1.7km to 2.5km
- Bike 13km to 18km with a good dose of hills
- Run 3.4km
- Kids Aquathon 5 to 12-year-olds:
- Swim/wade
- Run
