Boys dance workshops – Dance Discovery
We specialise in teaching boys how to dance. If you have a boy who enjoys music and movement, then we would love to introduce him to our world.
We are a well-established local dance studio specialising in boys' dance.
Our goal is to help them discover the world of dance in a safe and supportive environment where they do not feel like the minority. For this reason, we run a full day of boys-only dance classes each week so they can learn in their unique way.
As part of our outreach, we're running free dance workshops to encourage more boys in Christchurch to try it out. Often, we find many enjoy movement but are too shy to start taking classes, so this is a great chance to just come and have some fun while getting a taste of what we do on a weekly basis. Last year, we had 70 boys attend (split into three groups), and it was such a great vibe.
We will start with a warmup, some easy exercises and then take them through a range of different dance genres. The session will wrap up with a chance for the boys to show us their own moves (mini disco vibes).
Everything is, of course, optional, so some lads may wish to just watch. We look forward to meeting you.
