Come find out more at this evening extravaganza where scientists and experts will converge on the Climate Action Campus to uncover what lives here. Bring your torch, warm clothes and a camp chair for hanging out.

  • At sunset (5.38pm) sit and listen to the chorus of the birds as they farewell the day with song.
  • Dig in and help with earthworm surveys with soil creature expert Frank Ashwood.
  • Discover the beneficial insects that look after our vege gardens on CAC.
  • Explore the Nature Lab with entomologist Rob Cruickshank.
  • Head out on a spotlight tour of the red zone with ranger Zane Lazare.
  • Spotlight what’s in our awa from Jenny of Te Tuna Tāone programme
  • Find a night-flyer - light-trapping with Dr Morgane Merien of Canterbury Museum.
  • Park your chair at White Room Creative Spaces moth cinema (puppets) 
  • Books and games galore with CCC Libraries Outreach Van.
  • Wood-fired pizza oven will be going until 6.30pm thanks to Climate Action Campus.
  • Coffee cart and sausage sizzle to keep us warm.
