The mental health stats for our youth are some of the worst in the OECD, particularly those aged 20 to 24. At BetterMan, we're on a mission to help provide people with the tools and information so they can thrive.
We do this by taking the best parts from team sport – the fun, the games, the connection and camaraderie. We then combine this with our knowledge of positive psychology – an evidence-based, science-backed field that studies wellbeing and how a person can live optimally.
All funds we raise from this match will go towards promoting our message to Christchurch's club athletes, a typically underfunded area, but one of huge importance in the battle to help address some seriously worrying stats.
