Steven from MiniGardens Bonsai NZ has started a donation series with UNICEF Aotearoa for 2025.
The first event will be held at the Kiosk in Christchurch Botanic Gardens, in partnership with the Canterbury Horticultural Society. We are aiming to raise $30,000 for UNICEF by 2027.
For a $50 donation, each participant receives a tree kit, which includes a preselected tree and pot to work on. Wires and tools are available to set up a bonsai tree the correct way, learn the process of trimming and take home your creation.
The workshop is 90 minutes long with up to 10 people per workshop.
