Banks Peninsula hazardous waste drop off

Banks Peninsula residents can drop off their hazardous waste items for free at the Barrys Bay Transfer Station.

Drop off for free the following hazardous waste items:

  • Waste oils, such as used car oil and cooking oil.
  • Gas bottles, such as LPG, helium, SodaStream bottles, butane canisters, nitrous oxide canisters and fire extinguishers.
  • Paints and solvents.
  • Household chemicals.
  • Aerosols.
  • Batteries, such as Alkaline, Lithium/ Nicad/ NiMH, household batteries, car batteries and power tool batteries.
  • Agrichemicals.

Hazardous waste products should be dropped off in their original container. If they are stored in another container please write the name of the product on the container for easy identification.
