Antarctic Sun Lines art exhibition

Offering a creative solar polar perspective, artist Adele Jackson presents this exhibition of illuminated Antarctic solargraphs.

Solargraphs are extremely long-exposure photographs of the sun recorded over several days, weeks or months. Planetary dynamics are the inspiration behind the Antarctic Sun Lines solargraphs shown in this exhibition.

These images are a glimpse into the interconnection between the sun, the earth's tilted orbit and Antarctic ice, which together create the conditions for life on earth.

This project was made possible through the support of the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP), the Trans-Antarctic Association and an international collaboration involving over 70 Antarctic organisations and researchers.
