A Hidden Treasure

Come along to St David's Church and discover the hidden treasures of this unique building.

Take a guided tour around this lovely historic church which was designed by one of New Zealand's leading architects, Samuel Hurst Seager.

The church was built in 1902 as a memorial to the early settlers of Belfast.

St David's Church and setting is scheduled in the Christchurch District Plan as a highly significant heritage item and it is listed by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga as a category 2 heritage building.

The church has recently embarked upon a major refurbishment to preserve St David's for future generations.

Visitors are welcome to join a short celebration service at 2.45pm to acknowledge all those involved in the refurbishment including the project team and the local community.

This will be followed by an afternoon tea (no cost) and entertainment.
