Temporary road closures Gebbies Pass & Little River Hill Climbs - New Brighton Seaside Christmas Parade - Armageddon Expo 2022

The Council has approved the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.

Gebbies Pass Hill Climb 2022

Road to be closed

Summit Road

Between Gebbies Pass Road and Ahuriri Reserve (7.9km South of Worsleys Road)

Period of Closure

From 9am to 6pm Saturday 15 October 2022

 

Little River Hill Climb 2022

Road to be closed

Kinloch Road

Between 1300m North of Bossu Road and 100m South of Okuti Valley Road

Period of Closure

From 9am to 6pm Sunday 16 October 2022

 

New Brighton Seaside Christmas Parade 2022

Roads to be closed

Beresford Street

Between Oram Avenue and Marine Parade

Brighton Mall

Between Union Street and Beresford Street

Hawke Street

Between Marine Parade and Shaw Avenue

Howe Street

At the intersection with Hawke Street

Marine Parade

Between Lonsdale Street and Hood Street

Seaview Road

Between Hardy Street and Union Street

Shaw Avenue

Between Hawke Street and Seaview Road

Union Street

Between Beresford Street and Brighton Mall

Period of closure

From 9am to 12pm Saturday, 10 December 2022

 

Armageddon Expo 2022

Road to be closed

Cathedral Square

Between Colombo Street and Worcester Street

Period of closure

From 6am Saturday 10 December 2022 to 6pm Sunday 11 December 2022

 

These closures are to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, and vehicles directly involved with the events.

No resident access will be available during the period of these closures.
