Proposed Temporary Road Closures for Red Zone 6 Mountain Bike Challenge

The Council has received an application for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following event, on the date and times shown below.

Red Zone 6 Mountain Bike Challenge

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Brooker Avenue, between Kingsbridge Drive and New Brighton Road
  • Stour Drive, between Brooker Avenue and New Brighton Road
  • Vivian Street, between Reginald Street and Stour Drive

Proposed period of closures:

  • From 6am to 6pm Sunday 24 April 2022

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles and vehicles directly involved with the event.

No resident access will be available during the period of these proposed closures.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closures may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 9am Tuesday 29 March 2022.
