Proposed Temporary Road Closures for Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park 2021

The Council has received applications for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.

Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park 2021

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Armagh Street, between Cranmer Square West and Park Terrace
  • Park Terrace, between Armagh Street and Chester Street West
  • Park Terrace, between Bealey Avenue and Dorset Street
  • Rolleston Avenue, between Armagh Street and Gloucester Street

Proposed periods of closures:

  • From 9.00pm to 11.30pm Saturday 11 December 2021
  • From 9.00pm to 11.30pm Sunday 12 December 2021 (proposed rain date)

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, and vehicles directly involved with the events.

No resident access will be available during the period of these proposed closures.

 Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 9.00am Tuesday 9 November 2021.
