Proposed temporary road closures for Film-making event

The Council has received applications for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the purpose of film-making, on the dates and times shown below.

Film-Making event

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Grays Road, from 320 metres South of George Bellew Road to Avonhead Road.
  • Avonhead Road, from Grays Road to 75m East of Grays Road.
  • George Bellew Road, from Grays Road to Ron Guthrey Road.

Proposed periods of closures:

  • from 12 midday to 5pm on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June 2021

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Innovation Road, from Islington Avenue to Halswell Junction Road.

Proposed periods of closures:

  • From 7am to 1pm on Wednesday 30 June 2021

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Byron Street, from Colombo Street to Gasson Street.
  • Buchan Street, from Carlyle Street to Lawson Street.
  • Hawdon Street, from Byron Street to Wordsworth Street.

Proposed periods of closures:

  • From 12 midday to 5pm on Sunday 4 July 2021

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, and vehicles directly involved with the film-making. No resident access will be available during the period of these proposed closures.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 4pm Friday 11 June 2021.
