The Council proposes to sell land at 199 Clarence Street currently occupied by the Riccarton Community Centre and in part by Robbies Bar and Bistro.
In December 2014 the Council requested staff to take steps towards the partial sale of 199 Clarence Street (an area of about 2700m square metres), to help fund the building of the new Riccarton Community Centre on the remaining portion of land.
Under Section 138 of the Local Government Act 2002 the Council is required to consult the public about the proposed sale.
