Public Notice of Late Submission

And the right to make further submissions

  1. On 27 July 2015 the Christchurch City Council publicly notified a number of proposals and associated planning maps to replace some of the provisions of the operative Christchurch City Plan and the Banks Peninsula District Plan. The period for making submissions on those proposals closed on 4 September 2015.
  2. Under the provisions of Clause 5(1)(b) of Schedule 3 Canterbury Earthquake (Christchurch Replacement District Plan) Order 2014, the Chair of the Independent Hearings Panel has accepted late submissions from:
  • Milnes Family Trust which seeks the deletion of heritage item 1191 (dwelling and setting at 8 Rue Grehan, Akaroa).
  • Penny Hazard who opposes the criteria for assessing significant trees.
  • Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang who support Planning Map 30.
    • Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts which seeks the retention of the Commercial Core zoning of the land at 75 London Street and 311 Stanmore Road and the retention of Rules 15.2.2.1 P1 and 12.2.2.4 D6.
    • Summit Road Society which seeks to add a new policy to both the Rural Chapter and the Open Space Chapter, and to amend Policy 17.1.1.8.
  1. The submissions by Milnes Family Trust, Penny Hazard, Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang, Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts, and Summit Road Society may be inspected during normal office hours at any of the Council’s service centres or libraries and online at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz(external link) . For details of your nearest service centre or library please telephone 941 8999.
  2. The following persons may make a further submission on the submissions by Milnes Family Trust, Penny Hazard, Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang, Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts, and Summit Road Society:
  • The  Minister  for  Canterbury  Earthquake  Recovery  and  the  Minister  for  the Environment.
  • Any person representing a relevant aspect of the public interest.
    • Any person that has an interest in the proposal greater than the interest that the general public has.
    • Christchurch City Council.
  1. Any further submission must be limited to a matter in support of, or in opposition to, the submission made by Milnes Family Trust, Penny Hazard, Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang, Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts, or Summit Road Society and must state whether or not you wish to be heard.
  2. The further submission must be served on the relevant submitter.
  3. To make a further submission send or deliver a written submission in the prescribed form to the Christchurch City Council at:

(a)  The last day for making further submissions on the submissions by Milnes Family Trust, Penny Hazard, Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang, Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts, and Summit Road Society is 16 October 2015.

(b)  The Christchurch City Council will publish any further submissions received in response to the submissions by Milnes Family Trust, Penny Hazard, Pu Lin and Ruoh Jyu Jang, Richmond Working Mens’ Club and Mutual School of Arts, and Summit Road Society on-line at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz(external link) not later than 10 working days after the closing date for further submissions.
