1. The Christchurch City Council has received decisions from the Independent Hearings Panel on the following matters to replace some of the provisions of the operative Christchurch City District Plan and the Banks Peninsula District Plan:
- Decision 5: Chapter 10 (Part) Designation D1 Christchurch International Airport Limited
- Decision 5: Chapter 10: Designations and Heritage Orders excluding Christchurch International Airport Limited
- Decision 8: Natural Hazards (Part) Planning Maps
2. The Panel’s decisions are available for inspection during normal opening hours at any of the Council’s Service Centre offices and libraries (including Civic Offices at 53 Hereford Street). For details of your nearest service centre please telephone (03) 941 8999. The decisions are also available on the Council’s website at http://proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz/ihpdecisions(external link) and on the website of the Independent Hearing Panel at www.chchplan.ihp.govt.nz(external link) from where the decisions may be downloaded.
3. The persons listed below may appeal to the High Court against the decisions of the Hearings Panel on a question of law only:
(a) the Minister for the Environment and the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery;
(b) the Christchurch City Council; and
(c) any person who made a submission on the relevant proposal or matter that is the subject of the decisions but only in relation to matters raised in his or her submission.
4. Any appeal must be lodged with the High Court at Christchurch and served on Christchurch City Council no later than Wednesday 30 September 2015.
