Proposed transfer of building and new lease for Mount Pleasant Sea Scouts (the group).
This public notice is in accordance with the requirements contained in Section 78 of the Local Government Act and Section 54 (2) of the Reserves Act 1977, that the Council is proposing to transfer ownership of the Scout building located at 172 Major Hornbrook Road to The Group and grant a new ground lease to The Group over the building footprint for a period of up to 33 years.
The Group have occupied the building since 1969, the transfer of building ownership and granting of a new lease will ensure continued occupation and allow a necessary refurbishment of the premises.

Officers now request the Community’s views in relation to the above decisions. Any person or organisation wishing to either make a submission or object to the proposed decisions described in this notice may do so in writing no later than 5pm Friday 30th November 2018 to the person whose contact details appear above.
Submitters should indicate in their submission if they wish to appear before a Reserve Hearings Panel to be heard in support of their submission or objection.
