The Council has received applications for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.

From 12 midday to 3pm Saturday 23 June 2018

 

Lyttelton Festival of Lights

Road proposed to be closed

London Street

From Oxford Street to Canterbury Street

Proposed Period of Closure

12 Midday 29 June to 1am 30 June 2018

From Winchester Street to Norwich Quay

From Cambridge Terrace to 20 metres East of Oxford Terrace

(Closure of Hereford St will be to allow the crossing of Hereford Street by groups of children as and when required and will not be for entire period of advertised closure)

Oxford Terrace

From Lichfield Street to Hereford Street

From 3pm to 7pm Saturday 21 July 2018

Between Cashel Street and 50m north of Worcester Street

Hereford Street

Between Rolleston Avenue and #20 Hereford Street

Worcester Boulevard

Between Rolleston Avenue and #20 Worcester Boulevard

Proposed Period of Closure

From 4pm to 9.30pm Wednesday 8 August 2018 to Sunday 12 August 2018

 

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closure will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles and vehicles directly related to the operations of the event.

 

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 31May 2018.
