Proposed Bio-filter Easement
This is public notice in accordance with the requirements of section 48 (2) of the Reserves Act 1977 (Act) that the Council is proposing to construct a bio-filter adjacent to the sewer trunk main to treat hydrogen sulphide gas from the trunk main. Officers will be recommending to the Council that it grant an easement unto itself pursuant to the requirements of section 48(6) of the Act over approximately 105 square metres of the land described in Schedule A below in which to establish the necessary infrastructure for the bio-filter. The bio-filter will be above ground level and appear to be a bark bed within a 10m x 5m raised timber frame. A fan chamber and associated underground services will be included in the easement.
