The Council has received an application for the temporary closure of the following roads, for the following event, on the date and times shown below.
Anzac Day Parade 2025
Central City
Roads proposed to be closed:
- Oxford Terrace from Armagh Street to Hereford Street
- Cathedral Square Entire Length
- Colombo Street from Hereford Street to Armagh Street
Please note that the above closures are in addition to those previously advertised, the additional closures are due to operational requirement changes being made.
Objecting to the proposed closures
The proposed closure is proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.
The proposed closure will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles directly involved with the event or vehicles and those that hold an access pass.
No access will be available to any other vehicles during the period of the proposed closure.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closure may do so in writing to the Council Secretary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 9am on Friday, 28 March 2025.
