The Council has approved the temporary closure of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.
Gebbies Pass Hill Climb
Road to be closed
Summit Road from the Eastern end of Ahuriri Reserve to Gebbies Pass Road.
Period of closure
From 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, 19 October 2024
Crater Rim Ultra 2024
Road to be closed
Summit Road from the Eastern end of Ahuriri Reserve to Gebbies Pass Road.
Period of closure
6 am to 8 pm Sunday, 20 October 2024
Little River Hillclimb
Road to be closed
Kinloch Road from Okuti Valley Road to Bossu Road.
Period of closure
From 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday, 20 October 2024
These closures are to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.
The closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, public transport services, vehicles directly involved with the event
and event permit holders. No access will be available to vehicles who do not hold an event permit for access during the period of these proposed closures.
