Availability of late submissions and right to make further submission

1. Under the provisions of Clause 5(1)(b) of Schedule 3 Canterbury Earthquake (Christchurch Replacement District Plan) Order 2014, the Chair of the Independent Hearings Panel has accepted late submissions from:

• #3652 (submission points 3 to 8 inclusive) NZ Science and Technology Charitable Trust (Science Alive) and Nga-i Tahu Justice Holdings Limited (Nga-i Tahu) who seek to amend objectives, policies and rules in relation to the Central City Open Space Zones.

• #3670 (submission points 144 to 146 inclusive) Church Property Trustees who seek to amend the listings of the following heritage items in Appendix 9.3.6.1.

  • 156 St Augustine’s Anglican Church and Setting
  • 1303 St Barnabas “Sunday School” and Setting
  • 747 St Peter’s Church and Setting, Akaroa

2. The submissions by NZ Science and Technology Charitable Trust and Nga-i Tahu Justice Holdings Limited and by Church Property Trustees may be inspected during normal office hours at any of the Council’s Service Centre offices, Council libraries and on-line at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz. For details of your nearest service centre or library please telephone 941 8999.

3. The following persons may make a further submission on the submissions by NZ Science and Technology Charitable Trust and Nga-i Tahu Justice Holdings Limited and by Church Property Trustees:

• The Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery and the Minister for the Environment.

• Any person representing a relevant aspect of the public interest.

• Any person that has an interest in the proposal greater than the interest that the general public has.

• Christchurch City Council.

4. Any further submission must be limited to a matter in support of, or in opposition to the submission made by NZ Science and Technology Charitable Trust and Nga-i Tahu Justice Holdings Limited (submission points 3 to 8 only) and Church Property Trustees (submission points 144 to 146 only) and must state whether or not you wish to be heard.

5. The further submission must be served on the Christchurch City Council. A copy must also be served by the further submitter on the relevant submitter within five working days after the further submission is served on Christchurch City Council.

6. To make a further submission send or deliver a written submission in the prescribed form to Christchurch City Council at:

Further submission forms are available at all Council Service Centre offices and libraries.

7. The period for making further submissions on the submissions by NZ Science and Technology Charitable Trust and Nga-i Tahu Justice Holdings Limited and by Church Property Trustees ends on 27 January 2016.

8. The Christchurch City Council will publish any further submissions on-line at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz not later than 10 working days after the closing date for further submissions.
