Temporary road Closures - Akaroa French Festival, Lyttelton Farmers Market, Gebbies Pass Hill Climb, Little River Hill Climb, Riccarton Community Church Event

The Council has approved the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.

Akaroa French Festival 

Roads to be closed

Beach Road from Smith Street to Rue Balguerie

Rue Lavaud from Rue Balguerie to Rue Viard

Rue Pompallier - Entire Length

Period of closures

From 9:30 am to 11 am - Saturday, 7 October 2023

Lyttelton Farmers Market

Road to be closed

London Street from Canterbury Street to Oxford Street

Period of closures

Every Saturday from 7:30 am to 2pm - From 7 October 2023 to 5 October 2024

Gebbies Pass Hill Climb

Road to be closed

Summit Road from southern boundary of Ahuriri Reserve to Gebbies Pass Road

Period of closure

From 9 am to 6 pm - Saturday, 14 October 2023

Little River Hill Climb

Road to be closed

Kinloch Road from Okuti Valley Road to Bossu Road

Period of closure

From 9am to 6 pm - Sunday, 15 October 2023

Riccarton Community Church Event

Road to be closed

Elizabeth Street from Division Street to #40 Elizabeth Street

Period of closure

From 8.30 am to 3.00 pm - Sunday, 5 November 2022

These closures are to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, scheduled public transport and vehicles directly involved with the events.
No resident access will be available during the period of these closures.
