Davauchelle Showgrounds Lease

Proposed lease for Duvauchelle A&P Association Inc and the Banks Peninsula Branch of the Christchurch Pony Club.

This is public notice in accordance with the requirements of section 54(2) of the Reserves Act 1977 (Act) that the Council is proposing to grant a lease to the Duvauchelle Agricultural and Pastoral Association Inc. and The Banks Peninsula Branch of The Christchurch Pony Club on Duvauchelle Showgrounds.

Officers will be recommending to the Council that it grant a lease to The Duvauchelle Agricultural and Pastoral Association Inc. and The Banks Peninsula Branch of The Christchurch Pony Club pursuant to the requirements of section 54(1)(b)(c) of the Act over approximately 4.9130 hectares of land described in schedule A below for a period up to 33 years. Duvauchelle Showgrounds comprises 42.7444 hectares in total area.

Schedule A

The leased area is approximately 4.9130 hectares at Duvauchelle Showgrounds being comprised of Part Lot 14 DP1887 on Title CB13F/801, Part Lot 14 DP1887 on Title CB7C/1117 and Rural Section 40079 on Title CB11B/256 having a total area of 42.7444 hectares held as recreation reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977.

Any person or organization wishing to either make a submission or object to the proposed lease over part of the reserve described in this notice may do so in writing no later than 5 pm Tuesday, 9th February 2016 to the person whose contact details appear above. Submitters should indicate in their submission if they wish to appear before a Reserve Hearings Panel to be heard in support of their submission or objection.
