Please ensure you have fully read and understood the following terms and conditions. These are your responsibilities as the hirer when booking the Akaroa Sports Pavillion.
The Akaroa Sports Pavilion is a unique asset with aspects of a park, hall and library meeting room rolled into one. In practical terms, it is best to treat it like a hall with a few differences.
The Sports Pavilion is located at the Akaroa Recreation Ground. Keys can be collected and returned from the Akaroa Service Centre, 78 Rue Lavaud, open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. You will need to bring your letter of confirmation.
There is a $300 bond for private hire the same as a hall, but no deposit and no security fee.
Please carry your booking confirmation with you in case other visitors are using the space. If there is any confusion with other visitors, please ring the 24-hour call centre on 03 941 8999 to be directed towards the duty ranger.
Facilities available for use:
You will need to bring your own tea towels and dishwashing supplies for the kitchen. Cleaning equipment is stored in the wheelchair bathroom.
All groups will need to supply their own rubbish bags and take their rubbish away.
The hirer is to accept responsibility forleaving the above area in a clean and tidy condition after use and for any damage resulting from the use of the above areas. Any damage is to be repaired to the satisfaction of the Christchurch City Council.
Parking is provided immediately adjacent to the building. Vehicles are not permitted in the park. You are not permitted to use any smoke-generating equipment or naked flames.
The organisers shall absolve the Council from any liability whatsoever relating to the booking of the above area.

If you require changes to your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. Any changes in hire times will need to be confirmed as other users may be booked in. Please note that we require seven days notice of cancellation to obtain a refund.
