We received 196 submissions from local businesses and residents. We received a range of comments and suggestions and below are some of the topics raised.
Key topics raised were
- Enforcement of the new speed limit - We will be advising NZ Police of the new speed limits to enable them to take appropriate enforcement action if required.
- Extend the Wilmers Road 50km/h – We have extended the 50km/h to Kairua Road
- Additional speed signs throughout the sub-division – We will investigate the installation of additional signs throughout the sub-division to remind people of the speed limit

A staff report to the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board to recommend to Council to approve the Wigram Area speed limit changes will be presented:

Parking Changes
We also asked for feedback on parking changes on The Runway. Due to reporting time constraints, a report addressing the parking changes will go to a Community Board meeting in the near future. I will be back in contact with details.

July: Community Board recommendation to Council for approval of the speed limit changes
August/September: New speed limit effective and new signs to be installed
