Many of our Christchurch parks have areas that can be booked for a picnic, event or other activities. Depending on the size and nature of the gathering and the level of associated infrastructure, an event permit may be required.
People are asked to refrain from smoking or vaping in Council-owned playgrounds and parks, including sports parks, in line with the Council's Smokefree and Vapefree Public Places Policy.
